Koppel. Dit is de kracht waarmee de motor van de auto de krukas ronddraait. De koppelkracht wordt traditioneel gemeten in kilonewton, wat natuurkundig nauwkeuriger is, of in kilogram per meter, wat ons bekender is. Groot koppel betekent snelle start en snelle acceleratie. En laag, dat de auto geen race is, maar gewoon een auto. Nogmaals, je moet naar de massa van de auto kijken, een enorme auto heeft een serieus koppel nodig, terwijl een lichte auto prima zonder kan.
Het koppel van de Mercedes Arox 4 × 2 is van 1000 tot 3000 N * m.
